Tournament Rulebook

01Introduction

This Rulebook governs every tournament run on PlayDen, whether hosted by the official PlayDen team or by a verified third-party organization. It applies in addition to our Terms of Service, the Anti-Cheat Policy, and any tournament-specific rules an organizer publishes in the event's rule sheet. Where a specific tournament's published rules conflict with this Rulebook, the tournament-specific rules apply for that event only, provided they don't lower player protections below what this Rulebook guarantees.

02Eligibility

To register for a tournament you must:

• Have a verified PlayDen account in good standing, with no active suspension.
• Meet the minimum age requirement for the tournament (16+, or higher where a specific event requires it).
• Meet any region, rank, or game-ID verification requirements the organizer has set for that event.
• Not be participating from a country or region PlayDen or the organizer has explicitly excluded for that event.

Free tournaments and Pro-early-access tournaments follow the eligibility windows shown on the tournament's registration screen; PlayDen Pro members may get early or exclusive access as described in our Membership Policy.

03Registration

Registration is first-come, first-served up to the tournament's team cap, and closes at the published registration deadline. Solo tournaments register a single player; duo and squad tournaments register a full team through the Teams system, and every listed roster member must confirm their own participation where the app requires it. Entry fees, where applicable, are charged at the time of registration and are non-refundable once the registration window closes, except where the tournament is cancelled by the organizer or by PlayDen.

04Team Requirements

Squad and duo tournaments require a registered PlayDen team with the correct primary game and enough active members to field the required roster size, including any reserved substitute slots the organizer has configured. A player already registered on another roster for the same tournament cannot register twice. Swapping roster members after registration closes is only allowed where the tournament explicitly permits substitutions, and any substitute must also meet the tournament's eligibility requirements.

05Match Rules

Players and teams are expected to:

• Join the match lobby using the exact in-game ID/UID linked to their PlayDen profile.
• Be ready at the scheduled check-in time — organizers may disqualify a no-show team after the published grace period.
• Use only the room ID and password released through the app, and not share it outside the registered roster.
• Submit results and screenshots honestly and promptly when the tournament format requires self-reporting.

Any behaviour covered by our Anti-Cheat Policy — including cheating software, exploits, and match-fixing — is prohibited in every match, regardless of the prize pool size.

06Tournament Format

PlayDen supports single-elimination, double-elimination, round-robin, Swiss, and battle-royale point-based formats. The organizer sets the specific format, number of rounds, points system, and qualification thresholds for each event, and this information is published on the tournament page before registration opens. Bracket seeding, round scheduling, and advancement are managed through the tournament's Hub and roadmap, and any changes to a published bracket must be communicated in-app before the affected round starts.

07Disputes

If you believe a match result, points award, or elimination was recorded incorrectly, raise a dispute through the tournament's match screen within the window shown for that event (typically 30 minutes after results are posted, unless the organizer sets a different window). Include screenshots or clips as evidence. The organizer reviews disputes for their own tournament first; if you believe an organizer resolved a dispute unfairly, you may escalate to PlayDen support through our contact page.

08Penalties

Rule violations can result in point deductions, match forfeiture, disqualification of a team from the current tournament, or a platform-wide suspension for repeated or severe violations, consistent with our Anti-Cheat Policy and Terms of Service. Where a team is disqualified after prize money has already been distributed for a completed round, PlayDen and the organizer reserve the right to reclaim those winnings under the Prize Distribution Policy.

09Prize Distribution

Prize pools are held by the organizer's PlayDen wallet at the time the tournament is created and released to winners' wallets once final results are confirmed. Full detail on verification, payout methods, taxes, and processing time is covered in our Prize Distribution Policy — every tournament on PlayDen follows that policy regardless of who is organizing the event.

10Organizer Rights

Verified organizers may set additional eligibility criteria, publish supplementary rules for their event, release room credentials, adjust brackets to correct a scheduling error, and disqualify participants for violations of this Rulebook or their own published rules. Organizers may not use these rights to unfairly disadvantage a participant, alter a completed result to change the winner without a valid dispute finding, or withhold a verified prize payout. PlayDen monitors organizer trust scores and can suspend an organizer's hosting privileges for repeated abuse of these rights.
