Prize Distribution Policy

How we verify winners, pay out prize money, handle taxes, and protect every payout from fraud.

Last updated July 2026Effective July 1, 2026Version 1.0

01Overview

PlayDen tournament prize pools are funded by the organizer's wallet at the time a tournament is created and released to the winning team's or player's in-app wallet once final results are confirmed. From there, prize money can be withdrawn to a linked payout method, or kept as wallet balance for future entry fees, memberships, or store purchases. This policy covers everything between "you won" and "the money is yours."

02Eligibility

To receive a prize payout you must have followed the Tournament Rulebook for that event, hold a verified account in good standing, and — for team prizes — be a confirmed member of the winning roster at the time the match was played. Prize money for a team result is split according to the team's configured payout split, or divided evenly across the active roster where no split has been configured.

03Verification

Before a withdrawal is released, we verify that the winning result was confirmed by the organizer (or by PlayDen, for platform-run events), that no active anti-cheat investigation is open against the winning roster, and that the payout method belongs to the account holder. Large or first-time withdrawals may require additional identity verification consistent with our Verification Policy.

04Payment Methods

Withdrawals are supported to a linked bank account (via UPI/IMPS) or another payout method we make available in your region. We do not store your full bank or card details — payout is processed through our payment partners, and PlayDen only stores what's needed to identify and audit the transaction. Minimum withdrawal amounts and any processing fees are shown in the Wallet tab before you confirm a withdrawal.

05Taxes

Winnings from tournaments and contests may be subject to tax under applicable law, including tax deducted at source (TDS) on online gaming winnings in India. Where required, PlayDen deducts and reports TDS before releasing a payout, and provides a statement of the deduction in your wallet's transaction history. You are responsible for reporting your winnings correctly in your own tax filings; PlayDen does not provide personal tax advice.

06Processing Time

Verified withdrawal requests are typically processed within minutes and, in all cases, within one business day. Delays can occur where a payout requires additional verification, where the winning result is still within its dispute window, or where our payment partners experience their own processing delays. You can track the status of a withdrawal at any time from the Wallet tab.

07Fraud Prevention

We monitor for patterns consistent with payout fraud, including linked accounts sharing the same payout method to bypass per-account limits, withdrawal requests tied to a result under active dispute or anti-cheat review, and payout methods that don't match the verified account holder. A flagged withdrawal is held pending manual review, and confirmed fraud results in forfeiture of the withdrawal and enforcement under our Terms of Service and Anti-Cheat Policy.

08Disputes

If you believe a prize payout was calculated incorrectly, withheld in error, or sent to the wrong roster member, contact us through our contact page with the tournament ID and a description of the issue within 30 days of the result being confirmed. We review payout disputes separately from match-result disputes, which are handled under the Tournament Rulebook.
