Copyright & Takedown Policy

How we handle copyright ownership questions, takedown notices, investigations, and counter-notices for content on PlayDen.

Last updated July 2026Effective July 1, 2026Version 1.0

01Overview

PlayDen respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects the same from everyone who posts on our platform — feed posts, comments, profile media, team/organization branding, and reels. This policy explains how to report content you believe infringes your copyright, and how we investigate and act on those reports, drawing on the same notice-and-takedown principles as the Indian Copyright Act, 1957, the intermediary safe-harbor provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2000, and (for US-based rights holders) the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

02Copyright Ownership

You retain ownership of original content you post to PlayDen — clips, artwork, team logos, and written posts. By posting, you grant PlayDen a limited, non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute that content within the app as needed to operate the platform (for example, showing your post in another user's feed). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where it has already been shared or cached elsewhere as a normal part of how the platform works.

03Filing a Notice

If you believe content on PlayDen infringes your copyright, send a notice to copyright@getplayden.com including:

  • A description of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed.
  • A link, screenshot, or other information sufficient to locate the specific content on PlayDen.
  • Your contact information and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf.

04Investigation

We review valid notices promptly and typically remove or restrict access to the reported content while we investigate, consistent with our role as an intermediary under applicable law. We notify the account that posted the content of the takedown and the reason for it, without necessarily disclosing the identity of the person who filed the notice unless required to do so by law.

05Counter Notice

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake — for example, you own the content, had permission to use it, or your use qualifies as fair use/fair dealing — you can submit a counter-notice to copyright@getplayden.com explaining why. We may reinstate the content if the counter-notice is credible and the original complainant does not pursue the matter further within a reasonable period, consistent with standard notice-and-counter-notice practice.

06Repeat Infringement

Accounts with a pattern of confirmed copyright infringement are subject to escalating enforcement, up to and including permanent termination for repeat infringers, consistent with our Terms of Service. Filing knowingly false takedown notices or counter-notices is itself a misuse of this process and may result in enforcement against the account that filed them.
